Nirwana Bali Golf Course

Back to the portfolio page

Often ranked Asia’s Best Course.  There are several spectacular and intriguing holes along the cliffs near Tanah Lot Temple, and the inland holes wander through rolling country which is dominated by vast areas of manufactured, but operational, rice fields and fast-flowing creeks.  It is attached to the Le Meridien Resort and the project also includes small areas of specialised residential development.  The course places great emphasis on rewarding golfers who play close to or over trouble to achieve a better lie or a better angle of approach.

“Asia is home to a number of disappointing ocean courses, but Nirwana Bali is a real treat and much better than the one-hole wonder that some reviews imply.  Indeed the variety of holes and landforms incorporated within the design is quite remarkable, and when set up to play firm and fast, this stunning layout is one of the world’s great resort golf experiences.” Planet Golf, 2007
